Randall D. Christner, Sr. (Assistant Director) studied piano with Dorothy Dettweiler; studied flute and saxophone with Roderick Booker; studied violin & viola with Edward Schor; and is currently studying advanced piano techniques with Mr. Kikuchi.
Mr. Christner currently performs with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (since 2003), teaches at The Kiski School-Saltsburg (since October 2007) and serves as Second Vice-President and Music Swap Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Piano Teachers Association (PPTA).
Mr. Christner served as pianist/organist for the Church of the Nazarine (1988-90, Arona, PA), and served as pianist/baritone soloist for the Word of Life Ministries Church (1990-92, Greensburg, PA).
While at Hempfield High School, Mr. Christner performed Violin 1 in the pit band for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (1978), piano in the pit band for Jesus Christ Superstar (1979), and piano in the pit band for The Sound of Music (1980) and annually performed saxophone in the Concert Band, Marching Band and Jazz Ensemble, and violin/viola in Concert Orchestra (1978-80).
Mr. Christner is qualified to teach piano, voice, viola, violin, flute and saxophone; and currently maintains weekly teaching schedule of 10-15 students considering KMI and The Kiski School combined.
